Agoo Events
Trust and Safety

Safe to Buy, Safe to Sell, Safe at the Gate

Fake tickets, fake sellers and fake organisers cost people their money and their night. Agoo Events is built so the platform is never the weak point, and so the tricks scammers use on people stop working.

No one can pose as someone elseArtist, organiser and venue names are checked against one protected list, including lookalike spellings.
Badges are earned, never boughtVerification rests on proof against official records, the same for everyone.
Fraud is stopped first, then checkedSigns of a scam put limits on an account at once while a trained person looks.
Reports are weighed, not countedA pile-on of reports never removes anyone by itself; a person decides, and it can be appealed.

How Each Trick Is Closed Off

Verified Organisers

Know Who You're Buying From

Organisers who sell tickets are checked before their first payout: the owner's Ghana Card, the business registration and a payout account in the same name. Their page links to their Agoo Reviews page, so you can see what others say.

  • Checks against official records
  • Payouts only to accounts in the organiser's name
  • Protected names for artists and big brands
Is This Ticket Real?

Check Any Ticket Before You Pay for It

Someone selling you a ticket? Put its code into “Is this ticket real?” and see whether it exists, whether it's been used, and its resale cap. If it's real, buy it through Agoo resale so the old code dies and yours is new.

  • Anyone can check, with or without an account
  • Shows status, never the holder's private details
  • Every check that looks like a scam feeds the warnings
Check Before You Pay

Check the Seller's Number on Agoo Reviews

Before you send MoMo to someone you don't know, check their number on Agoo Reviews. Scam reports from other buyers show up at once, with a plain warning and a way to report them yourself.

  • Reports from real buyers, by phone number
  • Fake-ticket reports from Agoo Events feed it
  • Evidence kept for the police when it's needed

The Living Ticket

A Copy Never Gets In

Each ticket's code is signed and changes every few seconds. A screenshot, a forwarded picture or a photocopy stops working almost at once, so the same ticket can't be sold to five people.

  • Signed codes checked on the scanning phone
  • The first scan wins when phones sync
  • Transfers kill the old code

Capped Resale

Resale Inside Agoo Events, Never Above the Cap

Fans who can't go resell only through Agoo Events, never above the organiser's cap. The seller is paid after the new holder's code is issued, so neither side can be cheated. Try moving the price past the cap.

  • The organiser sets the cap, often face value
  • The seller's code dies the moment it sells
  • Resale can be switched off for any event

Refund Protection

If It's Cancelled, Your Money Comes Back

When an event is cancelled, every buyer is told and refunded to the wallet or card they used. The money is held back from the organiser's payout until every refund is made.

  • Refunds to the original MoMo wallet or card
  • The organiser's own terms shown before you pay
  • Disputes handled by a person, with the evidence

Passkeys, Alerts and a Second Look at Risky Changes

Your Agoo ID signs in with a passkey, a one-time code or a password with its own eye. New sign-ins and devices trigger an alert, and anything risky, like changing where payouts go, asks again.

  • Passkeys on your phone or computer
  • Alerts for new sign-ins and devices
  • Payout changes confirmed twice and recorded
