The ways to pay

Mobile Money

MoMo, Approved on Your Own Phone

Choose MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money and the network sends the approval prompt to your phone. Your seats stay held while the ring runs, and you can leave the page and come back.

  • All three networks, straight from your wallet
  • We never ask for your PIN, and we say so
  • Resend the prompt, or switch numbers, in a tap

Cards and Diaspora Mode

Visa, Mastercard and Verve, From Anywhere

Cards from Ghana and abroad. Family overseas see prices in pounds, dollars or euros beside the cedis, buy tickets for people at home, give to a donation book and watch the livestream.

  • A quote held for 30 minutes, shown before paying
  • Gift a ticket to a phone number in Ghana
  • 3-D Secure on foreign cards where the bank supports it
USSD

A Ticket on Any Phone, With No Data

Dial the event's code on a basic phone, choose your tickets, see the total and approve with MoMo. The ticket arrives by SMS with a short code the door can check.

  • Every screen under 160 characters, with numbered choices
  • The price on the confirm screen, every time
  • Timed out? Dial again and the order is still there
WhatsApp

The Whole Purchase in One Chat

Ask for tickets in a chat with the Agoo Events business account, pay with MoMo or card, and receive the tickets in the same conversation. Organisers can share a WhatsApp link on every poster.

  • Tickets, reminders and directions in the chat
  • Show the chat at the gate if your phone has no data
  • The same inventory as the web, the app and the box office
Instalments

Tables and Big Tickets, Paid Over Time

Organisers can open a table or a high-value ticket to instalments. Dates and amounts are shown in full before you agree, the last payment lands before the event, and there's no interest.

  • Automatic MoMo payments with a reminder first
  • A missed payment gets a grace period, not a surprise
  • Tickets issue when the plan is paid
Pay Small Small

Save Toward a Ticket, a Little at a Time

Put aside what you can, when you can, toward a ticket, with your place kept until the date the organiser sets. Reach the price and the ticket is yours; change your mind and the money goes back to your MoMo.

  • Any amount, any day, by MoMo
  • A weekly nudge if you want one
  • Never more than the ticket price
Group Buying

Book the Table, Each Friend Pays Their Share

Hold a table or a block of seats, then send each friend their own payment link on WhatsApp. Everyone pays their share from their own wallet and gets their own ticket, with no one left chasing money.

  • The block is held while the group pays
  • Each person gets their own transferable ticket
  • Unpaid places return to the organiser on time
Payouts and Settlement

Know Where Every Cedi Is

Every sale, fee, refund and payout sits in one ledger, line by line. Payouts go to a MoMo wallet or bank account in the organisation's own name, on a schedule you can see, with a statement for your accountant.

  • Payouts to MoMo or a bank, verified before the first one
  • Organisers abroad settle in US dollars, euros or pounds by agreement
  • Exports for your records and your auditors
GRA E-VAT

Invoices the GRA Recognises

Companies can buy delegate passes and tables by invoice. Each receipt is a tax invoice registered with the GRA's E-VAT system, with every levy shown and a code to verify it.

  • Pay by invoice, by bank transfer or MoMo
  • VAT and levies itemised on every receipt
  • Your company's TIN on the invoice
Refund Protection

If It's Cancelled, Buyers Are Paid Back

When an event is cancelled, every buyer is told at once and refunded to the wallet or card they paid with. The refund is held back from the organiser's payout until every buyer is paid.

  • Refunds to the original MoMo wallet or card
  • Every buyer told by SMS, WhatsApp and email
  • The organiser's refund terms shown before anyone pays
Questions

Paying, Answered

Do you ever ask for my MoMo PIN?

Never. The approval prompt comes from your network on your own phone, and you enter the PIN there. Anyone asking for your PIN on our behalf is not us.

What does a buyer see before paying?

The ticket price, each tax, the booking fee and the total, on one screen, before any money moves. If the organiser absorbs the fee, the buyer sees one round price.

What happens if a payment fails?

We say what happened and whether money moved, and your seats stay held for a few minutes while you try again or switch to another way to pay. If money was taken but not confirmed, we check and refund it.

Can family abroad pay?

Yes. A card from abroad works for tickets, gifts to the donation book and the registry. Prices are shown in pounds, dollars or euros beside the cedis, from a quote held for 30 minutes.

What does it cost the organiser?

Events without ticket sales are free up to 200 people, with a one-off base fee above that. A paid ticket carries 4% + GH₵2, capped at GH₵60, which the buyer pays by default. On Agoo's payment keys, processing is 2.5% of each transaction, deducted before payout; on your own Paystack keys you pay Paystack directly. Prices exclude 20% VAT on our fees.

When do organisers get paid?

On a payout schedule shown in Studio, to a MoMo wallet or bank account in the organisation's name, with a statement for each payout. The final settlement follows the event.
