For Buyers and Guests

Five Steps to the Gate

Find Events
  1. 01Find What's OnSearch what, where and when, browse your city, or open a link a friend shared on WhatsApp.
  2. 02Choose Your PlacePick a ticket type, or your own seats on the map. Sold out? Join the waitlist.
  3. 03Pay Your WayMoMo, card, USSD or WhatsApp. Every cost is on one screen before you pay.
  4. 04Keep a Living TicketIn the app, your phone's wallet and your chat. It works without data.
  5. 05Walk Straight InOne scan at the gate, even when the network is down. Your seat is on your phone.
Paying, Step Three

The Network Asks for the PIN, Never Us

When you pay by MoMo, your network sends the approval prompt to your phone. Your seats stay held while you approve, and if it times out, no money moves and you can try again or switch to a card.

  • Every cost shown before you pay
  • Seats held while you approve
  • A receipt that's a GRA E-VAT invoice

Answered in Two Taps

Each guest opens their own invitation, answers yes, maybe or no, says how many are coming from their household and what they'll eat. The family sees it all in one live list they can share with helpers.

  • Headcounts per household
  • Meal choices and dietary needs
  • Reminders to people who haven't answered
Questions

Good to Know

Do I need the app to buy a ticket?

No. You can buy on the web, by WhatsApp or by USSD. The app keeps your tickets together and works without data at the gate.

Can I list an event without selling tickets on Agoo Events?

Yes. Listing a public event on the hub is free, whether you sell through us or only list with us.

Is an invitation really private?

Yes. A private invitation is seen only by the people it was sent to, each with their own link, and it's never listed on the hub or shown to search engines.

Can your team run the event with us?

Yes. With Managed by Us, our staff, devices, badge printing, wristbands and crew run the day with you, quoted for your event.
